It has the same kind of ham-fisted writing, stilted dialogue, bad acting, completely unbelievable characters and lame humor that often plagues 7th Heaven.
Even if there wasn’t the wonderful Juno to compare it to, The Secret Life of the American Teen would be pretty badass.

The Best Teen Dramas Of All Time
This show is terrible The writing and dialogues are incredibly awkward and even worse with the horrible acting! The show makes terrible and cheesy jokes that all manage to fall flat, and the delivery from the actors playing the side characters that are basically too comical, the incredibly stupid decisions made by the protagonists made me visibly angry, literally ruined my night. This show has terrible role models and is not intended for children, yet the writing and acting are so bad that anyone over 10 can’t handle it. This show is so bad that it actually motivated me to write this review
